Blade of the Assassin

I’m currently in pre-production for my first lead in an action feature and I’m very excited! I have been training very hard with Movieworks International in Banbury for the stunts I will be performing and have been hitting the gym seriously in order to ensure that I’m at my best to carry out the action required of the role of May, head crime boss.

I’ve also been learning a bit of kickboxing, which I will be doing in the film. Nothing spectacular - I’m not playing a martial artist, but a very determined, single-minded character who has her demons to cope with. It’s always wonderful to get the opportunity to play a character who allows you to stretch your boundaries and learn new skills. I’ve definitely been doing that for this role!

The film is being directed by Tony Jopia (Jopia Productions) with Mark Johnston as Stunt Coordinator. Screenplay is by Andrew Fawn and story by Andrew Fawn & Tony Jopia. The cast includes: Sophie M Reed and Claudia-Grace McKell, Tim Parker, Mark Johnston, Cindy Johnston, Martin Sadd, Camran Bostanabad, Chris Wolff, Hai Le, Martin Taylor, Devon Rosenblatt, David Hamilton-Smith, Dom Chruscinski, Rosie Pearson, James Richards, Matt Horne, Hugh Edwards, Tony Cran, Geraldine Jopia-Pouget, among others. We are filming shortly with release in October.
